Is this FrameKit™ suitable for DIYers with no building experience?
Yes. Clickdeck FrameKits™ are designed specifically for DIY installation. Each FrameKit™ arrives pre-cut and includes adjustable supports, fixings and custom build drawings. If you can use basic tools and follow step-by-step instructions, you can build your own deck. Our team is also available during business hours if you need guidance.
What surfaces can I build over?
Clickdeck systems can be installed over:
- Compacted ground (with prepared base)
- Concrete slabs or pads
- Concrete pavers
- Balconies and rooftops
- Slightly sloping ground
Adjustable supports allow the frame to sit level without traditional posts or heavy excavation.
Can it be installed on uneven ground?
Yes. Adjustable pedestal supports allow you to level the frame easily over uneven or sloping areas. This removes the need for complex timber packing or post digging.
Is the deck height adjustable?
Yes. The included pedestal supports allow precise height adjustment during installation, making levelling fast and accurate.
What tools do I need to build a FrameKit™?
Most builds only require:
- Drill/driver
- Spirit level or laser level
- Tape measure
- Basic hand tools
A drop saw is only needed if you choose to customise the frame.
How many people are required to install a FrameKit™?
Most residential decks can be comfortably installed by two people. Larger decks may benefit from an extra helper.
Do I need to cut the aluminium frame?
No. Frames are supplied pre-cut to size. Minor adjustments can be made using a drop saw with a non-ferrous blade if required.
How are the supports installed on the ground?
Supports sit on a stable base such as:
- Concrete pavers on prepared ground
- Small poured concrete pads
- Existing concrete slabs
This eliminates the need for traditional in-ground posts in most situations.
